8×8 RGB Dot Matrix Display – Common Cathode, 60mm
This is a common cathode 60mm x 60mm RGB Dot Matrix display with an 8×8 LED layout.
The versatile colour display options make this dot matrix suitable for applications such as clocks, counters, signage and more. You’ll need an LED matrix driver/IC to drive it from your microcontroller, and remember this is an RGB matrix so you have 3x the LEDs/colours to drive (the popular MAX7219 isn’t ideal for this unless you’re happy just running one colour).
This is a big ol’ matrix so you won’t be able to use this in a single standard breadboard, you’ll need to join two together and straddle them with the matrix.
